There is huge audience nowdays in India who prefer to watch Thriller and Spy movies. Does RAW made a justice to their expectation ? Answer is know. Thanks to writing and direction of Robby Grewal.
Story is revolves around 1971 before Pakistan War. Rehmat Ullah Ali ( Romeo ) works in Bank and perform in theaters in his free time, where he is sighted by Intelligence Agents. RAW chief Shrikant Rai ( Jacky Shroff ) feels Rehmat Ullah Ali is best fit for Intelligence Operation which need to take place in Pakistan. Rehmat Ali was sent to Pakistan under pseudo name Akber Ali whose function is to move around a Pakistani important character Isaq Afridi and send important information to the Indian intelligence agency. During his mission he get to know some information about attack which was planed by Pakistani army. And here after Movie revolves around is he succeed to stop the attack ? if yes how ? and is he caught by the Pakistani army ?
Screenplay of the Movie is so slow, lazy and boring especially 1st half that one point of time you will feel whats going on here and you start giving up the interest. Boring camera angle and weak writing in dialogues will make most of the scenes boring.On top of so high security and intelligence involvement of both the countries still our hero goes to meet his girlfriend such not needed scenes will make you annoyed while you were start taking the interest in movie. We are still figuring what Mouni Roy was doing in the movie.John Abraham did not justice to the role and obviously we cant blame him fully for that when you have the plot but nothing in script and dialogues. Raghuveer Yadav totally wasted in the film he was not having nothing to showcase. Sikander Khair was good at whatever he was having to perform especially his adoption in dialogue delivery in Punjab Urdu accent.
Music is not at all memorable,in the end of the movie a song played by sonu nigam will remind you a song " Aye Watan " from Razi. Patriotism is not fully furnished in the movie rather than Raw is a story of common man which is also fail due to unbaked script writing.
